The Best Thrift Shops in Los Angeles

Westside

2460 Overland Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90064

Share Our Selves Thrift Shop

Pepe’s Thrifty Shop

Pro Tip: If your closet is lacking the basics, like a graphic tee, a pair of Levi’s cut off shorts or a slip dress, thrift it. Buying the basics is one of my favorite things to do while thrifting. These are readily available at almost all thrift stores and more often than not they’ll be one-of-a-kind. Every new season calls for newness, but don’t fall into the trap of ‘needing something new.’ Figure out a few things your closet would benefit from having for the new season and go out on a thrift store shopping trip with a specific list in mind. Sustainability with the added benefit of retail therapy.

Buy this, leave that: There are always going to be categories in thrifting that do better than others. A killer chest that’s 200 years old or a can’t miss vintage blazer will forever be in style, but anything polyester will not. I asked four of my girlfriends who serve as constant inspiration to me what they’d buy and what they’d leave while shopping, among other juicy questions that I get asked all the time. Don’t miss the answers and their tips here

When it comes to going on a hunt, Los Angeles offers a vast playground for you to explore. These are some of my favorite places to go around the city and if I’m ever in a neighborhood where I know one of my go-to spots is close to, I make a point to stop in just to check on any new items that might have cropped up. If you find that I’m missing a spot, leave a comment in the section below or shoot me a DM – you know I always love to try new shops!
