The Shopping List No. 12: Velvet Soles
Today’s shopping list is very specific and inspired by a dress I saw at an estate sale. It was a 1920s art decor velvet slip and it made me think of what else I’d love in a similar style or fabric and I settled on shoes – naturally! I started searching for some velvet styles and I came across two that I’m currently looking for: loafers and mules. The loafers are an obvious choice for the time of year and season, but the mules make for a fun addition year round.
A note about vintage shoes – I find that they do run true to size but always check the measurements (usually the length of the inside sole) to another pair of similar style shoes you own.
Loafers
A classic style that is sure to elevate your denim and tee look, I’ve always loved loafers for their versatility. Velvet ones just take it up a notch. I have both Ralph Lauren and YSL velvet loafers on my eBay watch list!

Mules & Slippers
While the loafers are more a winter style, I think you can make slippers work year round. You know I love a good slip dress and I think the combination of silk and velvet is just divine for the winter and summer months.
