The human form has been long celebrated in the world of art. As you might have guessed by looking at the art in our home, I’m a huge fan of nudes, sketches and interesting sculptures. I just love the natural form and this type of artwork and decor really works in a variety of homes whether you’re a minimalist or prefer the opulane of chinoiserie!
Nude Sketches
I can’t collect enough nude sketches and watercolors as evidenced by the collection in our primary bedroom and dining room. Nude sketches work especially well if you’d like to create a gallery wall. Depending on your aesthetic keep the frames the same or mix it up wood, gold, and even metal frames.
My curated picks:
- Seated Nude XI, 1917, Signed, watercolour painting, $133
- Fay Singer Sketch, $395
- Adam Kraft Sketch, $165
- Vintage Nude Sketch, $39
In our entryway sits a vintage hand carved wood hand figure and it’s such a fun piece. Kids like it since they can pretend to scrap or scare each other with it (yes, nothing is too precious in my house and I’m ok with kids exploring my decor). Adults like it because of the intricate details. It’s a decor win!
